Rented a car for my road trim in Florida this summer. Every other rental car agency was sold out but Hertz actually had cars and even gave me an upgrade! So happy I went with them! Great company and would highly recommend!

Mickey at the Victoria Airport CYYJ was amazing. We arrived really early and the car wasn't back yet. Mickey stored our bags and helped us with some directions where we could walk and get some food while we waited (airport facilities were closed). When our plans changed unexpectedly half way through the trip Mickey was able to extend the rental at the original price and made the process seamless. She did an amazing job, was so understanding, cheery and helpful. She really went above and beyond and made what could have been an unpleasant experience a great one!

A great experience with Hertz, the service and friendliness of the staff is very commendable and pleasant. The online reservation was unproblematic and personal wishes were taken into account and implemented. The service beyond the country's borders is also impeccable. I will gladly use the Hertz service for rental vehicles again.

I'm a 20 year+ Gold Member with Hertz. Picked up a 2-week rental from Cleveland airport. Windshield (especially the inside surface) was filthy. Asked attendant for window cleaner + rag and he let me clean the windshield. No problem.

We hopped on the highway and smooth sailing until we exited to eat. We then realized the car transmission wasn't working correctly - revving super fast with little or no acceleration. First time I could make it back to hertz was nearly a week later and they exchanged car - nearly 6-hour round trip for me. Not good.

On the eve of our replacement car's return date, Hertz sent me a message via their app asking if I'd like to reconsider and add their Fuel Purchase Option. While driving to the airport to return the car I decided yes and tried NUMEROUS ways (via phone call, text, web and via app) to acceot their offer. The chat app seemed promising - until they stopped responding for hours on end. WORD TO THE WISE - never, never use their chat app. It seems unattended. And once someone finally responds? They are unhelpful and unempowered - and then they vanish never to be heard from again.

Long story short, Hertz hit me for full price and fees for returning the car without gas - despite my repeated communications to them that I would add the Fuel option. I should have known better.

WORD TO THE WISE - never pay for the fuel option, insurance option, or anything else if possible. Once you do, they'll scam you and they are impossible to reach by phone to resolve any problems or concerns.

SO SAD that my previous favorite rental company has forgotten who they are and have gone the way of other dying companies who've lost their long-term customers due to ineptitude and/or short-term greed.

I have been a Platinum member of Hertz for 25 years. I had a wonderful experience while returning my car yesterday evening. A lady whose first name is Asha found that I was staying at a hotel near the airport. She realized that I will have to walk to the airport curbside, call the hotel to send a shuttle and then wait to take it. She requested an available driver to drop me off at the hotel. That gesture will stay with me and I will overlook lower cost rentals to stay with Hertz.

Rented a van from Lisbon Airport for 12 days and dropped it off at Porto Airport. Picking up and returning the vehicle was easy and convenient. I did after-hours return at Porto and it worked great. My Gold status was recognized by the desk attendant and I was able to score an almost-new Volkswagen Multivan with only 600 km on the odo. It was also a PHEV which made running the van relatively affordable. Very happy with my experience overall.

Time and time again, I continue to have a pleasant experience with Hertz. The vehicles are clean, the staff knowledgeable, and the process streamlined.
